The blade is made from Böhler M390 powder steel, a steel known for holding a clean edge even under demanding use. It’s the kind of steel you choose when you don’t want to think about sharpening every few projects. Thin cutting, edge beveling, fine grooves, decorative lines — this knife handles all of it with ease and consistency.
The blade is heat-treated to HRC 60–62, giving it a balanced feel: hard enough to stay sharp, but tough enough to feel confident in the hand. No chipping, no fragile edge.
The handle is crafted from Purple Sandalwood — dense, stable, and naturally resistant to deformation. It has a solid, reassuring weight, and stays comfortable even during longer sessions at the bench.
For durability and balance, the guard combines 304 stainless steel and H62 brass. It’s not just decorative — it adds protection, stability, and a refined finish without overdoing it.

Hi I have had 2 different purchases from this company and have found them to be brilliant. They are very precise they communicate really well and double check all details before they send it to the factory to be made. I am using a vevor manual press and these dies work perfectly. They are very good at dealing any issues so I would recommend them to anyone and suggest if you do have a problem then to contact them first.

I've researched it well beforehand, so I knew what I was buying. A solid set, sharp, easy and convenient to use. Better quality than Blanchard or other established tool-makers at a more convenient price. I would say it is a tool for fine hands (and fine leatherworking). On top of that, it is an eye-catching centerpiece.
And the seller, CI, is very professional and friendly. I recommend them wholeheartedly.
I would love to see an extension for it (16+mm heads) and maybe a walnut version of the wooden case.
At first this seems very expensive, but the build quality is spot on. The jaws don't open as much as some, not a negative just an observation, although I doubt you would need more. As one purchaser said, you will only purchase this once and it will probably last a lifetime. I am more than happy and I think you will be too
